| Ghost Tour Tales Hi, I went on one of the ghost tours, I'm not sure what it was called were we were standing, but I know it was a parking lot were the bus tours is, we were standing by a barer of rocks between the parking lot and a cemetery, across the street was the bed and breakfast that was once the orphanage. Anyway, while i was standing there I felt a tug on my pants were my pant loops are, then I was having problems, I felt like I was being choked like my throat was closing kind of feeling, I was light headed and I thought i was going to pass out, I smelled burning wood, like a campfire, but I didn't see anything. As soon as we crossed the street and left that parking lot, I felt better, I didn't feel like I was going to pass out. My friend that was with me noticed me, he said I was pale and looked sick, but then he said I looked like myself after we left the parking lot. So I was wondering if this happened to anyone else something similar to what I described. Thank you. J. My husband and I went to the Jenny Wade House. I didn't have any unusual experience all through the house tour..Then we went to the cellar. We were seated along the back wall and the guide was delivering a story about Jenny and her boyfriend and childhood friend when suddenly I was enveloped in very cold air. Then the diamond cross and diamond heart I wear around me neck slowly began to slide off. Because these are of very sentimental value, I check and double check the latch when I put it on. The latch in fact is pretty hard to open, plus I had had it on from 6 am and this was after 1 pm. The thing was I wasn't scared , I sort of just felt that someone wanted me to know they were there... Thank you. Susan We went to visit the Sachs Bridge in Gettysburg the end of July 2003 and mid way across the span my 14 year old son said “I smell flowers.” I too detected the light smell of lavender. However, we could not find the source of the smell. Although we crossed the span several times, the smell was not repeated. I have heard that after the battle, the stench was so horrific that people would use lavender and fragrances to mask the smell and that from time to time these smells can mean a ghost was passing by. Then again, I guess it could have been a flowering shrub, we just couldn't find--but midway on the span????? Thank you. Jesse Do you have a “Gettysburg Ghost Tour” experience you would like to share?
